John 10:10 The thief comes to steal (take away by theft), kill, sacrifice, slaughter, immolate and destroy, render useless, powerless, bankrupt. I AM (HE is all - king over all and everything in your life) come (making an appearance) that they might have life, and that they might have it more abundantly.
1) Jesus wants you to have an abundant life. But, first you must realize it is there for your taking. One of the first things a child learns is who his or her parents are. In order to know who you are spiritually you have to know who your heavenly father is. He created you and the person He wants you to become.
2) Satan, God's adversary begins at a very early age trying to rob you of your spirtual identity. He is a liar and the father of lies. You are who you are because of Jesus Christ and the devil can't mess with you unless you allow him to.
3) You are God's princess. You are set apart and designed especially by the hand of God. He desires to give you the desires of your heart. A lot of who you become is because of who you hang out with. If you hang around Jesus enough you'll start to act like Him.
4) God will never withold His great love for us. He loved us first so we don't owe Him anything. He loved us freely and without it costing us anything. Everyone is creted for a very special purpose. People who lsoe their spiritual identities have been beaten and robbed and don't trust or believe they are who God has created them to be. If you run to God when you are weak and talk with Him, the lies of the enemy will be dispelled.
5) Everything the enemy means for evil, God will turn around for His glory, if we will allow Him to become Lord over our lives. When the time is right God will lift us up out of the miry clay. In the story of Joseph, he went from his father's house to a pit his brothers put him in, then they sold him into slavery. He became a leader in Potiphers house and the enemy tried to destroy him through Potiphers wife and he found himself wounded and in prison. God then delivered him from the prison and set him in the palace at the Pharoah's right hand man. Joseph is a type of Cinderella. He suffered great loss as a child and young man, but God delivered him and brought his destiny to fruition no matter how many times the enemy tried to steal his identity.
6) The enemy will use anything and anyone to tell you that you are having the time of your life, while he is stealing the life out of your time. Your only hope is making Jesus the "Life" in your time. Jesus said, I am come that you mights have "life" and that they might have it more abundantly. If we aren't careful we can put our life and time into people, places and things that may look and sound good, but they are other's identities and when those things are gone, we are left feeling life we are gone with them.
This is why it is important to make Jesus the life in your time. His Word says He will nver leave or forsake us. He will always direct us back to the destiny He created for us. He will always show us the way from the pit to the palace. He will always have time for you and He will direct your path to the party He has prepared for you.
When we accept Christ as our Savior we become part of Him and we also become joint heirs with him.
Matthew 15:27 ....Lord yet the dogs (little dog) eat (devour, consume) of the crumbs which fall (to descend from a higher place to a lower) from the Master's table.
This woman knew who she was talking to. He was her Master, her Savior, her life in her time, her life in her life and the answer to her problems. She knew that He was the one who knew her because she recognized Him as the one who was the Bread of Life. She knew if she could get a crumb, the same life that was in the bread would be in the crumbs. One little crumb would sustain her, just one little bit was all she needed for her to get her answer. If He could touch her problem then He would heal her sick daughter.
Because this woman accepted His love, his response was, O woman, great is thy faith; be unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was made whole from that very hour.
They both got their identities back. They were both made whole that very hour.
Just like this woman we can go from the pit to the palace in just a moment.
